HỌC SINH DEWEY ỨNG DỤNG TƯ DUY THIẾT KẾ VÀO DỰ ÁN CỘNG ĐỒNG

Do ảnh hưởng của bão lũ miền Trung, vượt qua một chặng đường dài, những sản phẩm học liệu* từ Dự án “Bài học cuối năm” môn Văn – Tiếng Việt năm học 2024–2025 đã được trao tận tay các em học sinh trường Phổ thông Dân tộc Bán trú Tiểu học Bảo Nam 1 (Nghệ An). Đây cũng là hoạt động ý nghĩa nằm trong khuôn khổ dự án “Ngôi trường ước mơ” của Tập đoàn Giáo dục Edufit.
Món quà này là tâm huyết và tình cảm của toàn thể học sinh Tiểu học tại 4 cơ sở trường Dewey. Ý tưởng bắt nguồn khi các bạn học sinh Dewey xem những hình ảnh về điều kiện học tập thiếu thốn tại trường Tiểu học Bảo Nam 1. Phần lớn học sinh ở đây thuộc đồng bào dân tộc Khơ Mú. Việc sử dụng tiếng Việt để tiếp thu các môn học gặp không ít thách thức. Trang thiết bị, đồ dùng học tập, sách tham khảo… của các em vẫn còn rất hạn chế. Thực tế ấy đã thôi thúc các bạn nhỏ Dewey bắt tay vào dự án, với mong muốn giúp các bạn trường Tiểu học Bảo Nam 1 trau dồi tiếng Việt, mở rộng hiểu biết về văn học và nghệ thuật.. Vận dụng tư duy thiết kế cùng năng lực ngôn ngữ và nghệ thuật, các em đã sáng tạo ra những cuốn cẩm nang văn nghị luận, từ điển tiếng Việt bằng tranh, bộ thẻ từ vựng. Cùng với gần 1000 cuốn sách giáo khoa quyên góp cuối năm, tất cả đều gửi gắm yêu thương và sẻ chia của học sinh Dewey.
Cô Nguyễn Thị Thanh Hải – Giám đốc chương trình Khoa học xã hội và Nhân văn - Hội đồng Khoa học và Sư phạm Dewey cho biết: “Những sản phẩm học tập này không chỉ phản ánh năng lực ngôn ngữ và nghệ thuật mà học sinh Dewey đã hình thành sau một năm học, mà còn là cơ hội để các em vận dụng kiến thức, kỹ năng của mình vào việc tạo ra những sản phẩm có giá trị cho cộng đồng. Ngoài ra, việc tận dụng các vật liệu tái chế như bìa carton, nắp chai nhựa… để chế tác học liệu cũng cho thấy các em đã vận dụng hiệu quả hiểu biết về bảo vệ môi trường và phát triển bền vững.”
Nụ cười rạng rỡ của các em nhỏ Trường Tiểu học Bảo Nam 1 khi cầm trên tay những cuốn cẩm nang đầy màu sắc, đọc những lá thư tay từ các bạn học sinh Dewey chính là sự ghi nhận lớn lao dành cho dự án. Thầy Lương Văn Thành – Hiệu trưởng Trường Tiểu học Bảo Nam 1 xúc động chia sẻ, những món quà này sẽ là nguồn động viên thiết thực, tiếp thêm động lực để các em học sinh đến trường, viết tiếp ước mơ tương lai.
Từ một dự án học tập, tư duy công dân toàn cầu của Học sinh Dewey đã được thể hiện qua lòng đồng cảm, tinh thần hào phóng và ý thức trách nhiệm với cộng đồng. Học tập từ trải nghiệm thực tế, phát huy năng lực của bản thân để kiến tạo giá trị tích cực cho xã hội - đó chính là niềm hạnh phúc khi đến trường của học sinh Dewey.

* Các sản phẩm mà Học sinh Tiểu học ở 4 cơ sở trường Dewey đã làm ra và gửi tặng các bạn ở trường Bảo Nam bao gồm: Bộ học chữ cái từ nắp chai tái chế (5 bộ), Bộ thẻ chữ cái (12 bộ), Bộ thẻ nguyên âm, phụ âm (4 bộ), Bí ngô từ vựng (2 bộ) Bộ thẻ từ điển từ vựng tiếng Việt (142 thẻ), Bộ thẻ câu đố (56 thẻ), Từ điển tiếng Việt bằng tranh (1 quyển), Từ điển chính tả (1 quyển), Từ điển Hán Việt (3 quyển), Từ điển từ láy (2 quyển). Bộ thẻ logic của câu (2 bộ), Câu đố (5 quyển), Tuyển tập thơ Haiku của HS Dewey: 3 quyển. DEWEY STUDENTS APPLY DESIGN THINKING TO COMMUNITY PROJECTS
In the wake of severe storms and floods in Central Vietnam, learning materials* from the “End-of-Year Lesson” project in the Vietnamese Literature program (2024–2025 school year) were hand-delivered to students at Bảo Nam 1 Semi-boarding Primary School for Ethnic Minorities (Nghệ An Province). This meaningful initiative is part of Edufit Education Group’s “Dream School” project.
These gifts embody the dedication and heartfelt care of all primary students across four Dewey campuses. The idea emerged after Dewey students viewed images of the challenging learning conditions at Bảo Nam 1 Primary School. Most of the students there belong to the Khơ Mú ethnic group and face considerable difficulties learning in Vietnamese. Their teaching equipment, study tools, and reference books remain extremely limited. This reality motivated Dewey students to launch the project, aiming to help their peers at Bảo Nam 1 strengthen their Vietnamese skills and broaden their understanding of literature and the arts.
Harnessing design thinking along with their language and artistic skills, Dewey students created debate handbooks, illustrated Vietnamese dictionaries, and sets of vocabulary flashcards. Together with nearly 1,000 textbooks donated at the end of the school year, all these efforts carry the love and generosity of Dewey students.
Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Hải – Director of the Social Sciences & Humanities Program, Dewey Academic & Pedagogical Council – shared:“These learning resources not only reflect the language and artistic competencies that Dewey students have developed over the academic year, but also offer them a chance to apply their knowledge and skills to create products of real value for the community. Moreover, by repurposing materials such as cardboard and plastic bottle caps, our students have effectively put into practice their understanding of environmental protection and sustainable development.”
The bright smiles of Bảo Nam 1 Primary School students as they held the colorful handbooks and read letters from their Dewey friends speak volumes about the project’s impact. Mr. Lương Văn Thành – Principal of Bảo Nam 1 Primary School – emotionally shared that these gifts would be a tangible source of encouragement, inspiring his students to keep coming to school and continue pursuing their dreams.
From a single classroom project, Dewey students’ global citizenship mindset shines through in their empathy, generosity, and sense of social responsibility. Learning through real-life experiences, developing their own capabilities, and creating positive values for society – this is the true joy of coming to school for Dewey students.
